  • We stayed here just one night, for new year, and it was a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Location is on the crossroads in town, a couple of minutes walk to main square and Chinese nets or the bustling streets with cafes. We had a great view onto everything from our large glass windows.

The staff were excellent, spoke very good English and were smartly and beautifully dressed.

Rooms were large with very comfy bed and luxury fittings, bathroom was well appointed.

There was a good breakfast selection with both western and Indian options.

Overall the feel was formal and more of a business hotel; as tourists, for the money we paid, we would probably have gone to one of the more atmospheric hotels along the harbour front, but there were no vacancies.

I feel the value for money is about right as the quality of hotel is far above average for Kerala.

  • Great Hotel, clean and tidy, staff very helpfull, conveniently positioned to town, rooms spacious, meals in both cafe and restaurant were great, WIFI should be included in the price though, that was my only complaint. Oh and the BEST pillows in India.

  • We came here after some rough nights in Monsoon ravished southern Kerala. It was like an oasis in the rains. Beautiful clean beds, friendly and helpful staff (who upgraded us as soon as they realised we needed a third bed) and great food a plenty – even in the Monsoon times. Try the Date and Banana roll from Friends cafe…open late. No.18’s location is right in the heart – see all of the main attractions in a full day, you can walk to most of them…

  • This is one of the finest dining place in India. The ambience is nice and its clean. The food is the one which runs away with the trophy. it is mouth watering as well as delicious. We were there on the 5th and 6th of Aug 2013. We tasted variety of dishes. All were extremely delicious. You can try any cuisine and i guarantee perfection. Value for money at all fronts. The staff is courteous.
one request , if you are only dining there make it a point to meet Renjith Jacob, Asst. General Manager. Talk to him about fort kochi. His knowledge is vast and handy for travellers. See the Rain tree shown by Renjith and be mesmerized.
This restaurant is in the NO.18 HOTEL. You cannot miss it in Fort kochi. You will cross it many times while sight seeing.

  • My family and friends stayed at this hotel on 12 December 2014. My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary on this day. My husband surprised me with a Keralan wedding ceremony (arranged with the hotel). The hotel is very clean and located closeby to the Chinese fishing nets. The front desk staff and especially Dipasha were fantastic. We will most certainly stay here again.

  • How central can you be when in Fort Koch? No. 18 is literally a skip and a jump from all you want to experience in Fort Kochi. The hotel staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. Rooms are nice and the second and third visit only make it more so.

  • No.18 stands tall in the heart of Fort Kochi. Though we did not spent night there, it was a pleasure to visit their Cafe and Restaurant regularly during our holidays in December13. We also celebrated our School reunion there and it was a magical atmosphere. Thanks to all support given by management and staff.

We even went to have tea there at 2am in the night, yes it was open and we where served well!

  • Took hotel as part of a G Adventures tour, so not clear on price. Was in a good position, close to major sites and Princess Street in Fort Kochi. Rooms were clean, and comfortable. Good bathroom with large, walk in shower.

  • There is something about that raintree. Huge old and magical.  One could easily go on for an hour saying goodbyes and concluding talk to friends after stepping out of No. 18. That tree is a mesmerising one. Occasional glances at it and it just keeps you there!

  • On my most recent visit to Fort Kochi, No.18 has been my greatest find. The food is great. The service is excellent. The ambience is endearing. And the prices are unbelievably reasonable. I mean 400 bucks for that such a fabulous platter, where else have you heard of that?! A great find indeed!

  • My sis and I drop in at the Friends café often with our pals and sometimes with each other. We just love the ambience; the old world charm. More importantly the pastries are melt-in- your-mouth great and its easy on our student budgets.
